PRESS RELEASE

Brenda Howard NASHVILLE RECORDING ARTIST @ Composer’s Ink NASHVILLE Record Label

Country Singer, Songwriter, Producer, and Multi-instrumentalist

You may have seen and heard Nashville Recording Artist, Brenda Howard performing live on radio or on television commercials or you may have caught one of her live “on air” interviews describing the stories behind the music she writes. Maybe you have watched her perform at Carnegie Hall in New York City or one of her many featured artist concerts here in the states?  If so, there is one thing you definitely know by now, and that is the undeniable sincerity and energy that surrounds her new country album “Where Are You Now?”

Brenda’s new country album “Where Are You Now?” was recorded in a private studio in Nashville, Tennessee with performers straight from the stage of the “Grand Ole Opry.”  Her new country album features the best of the best in Nashville country music performing alongside.

Since the release of her original song, “Turn and Walk Away” and music video by the “Composer’s Ink NASHVILLE Record Label” in 2018, her country singles have been met with an overwhelmingly positive World-Wide response. Today all 4 of her recent song releases have hit the COUNTRY MUSIC CHARTS simultaneously and continue to spin on mainstream FM, AM and Internet stations from all corners of the United States & Canada and globally from Israel to Japan to the United Arab Emirates and more.

Also in 2018, “Composer’s Ink NASHVILLE Record Label” has released three more of Brenda Howard’s original country songs that are, as we speak, spinning at radio stations from “sea to shining sea” in the U.S. and have also been picked up by global stations as well.  These new songs are titled “Whispering Hope”, “Where Are You Now?” and “This Way.”

If there is one comment that Brenda loves to hear the most from her fans it would be “I can hear the emotion and feel the passion in your voice when you sing.  You can tell your songs come from deep down inside of you, you can just feel it!”

While some artists are singing songs that other people write, Brenda is diligently sitting with pen in hand writing from a place deep inside her soul.  She is able to capture the forceful emotion even in the recording studio where some fall short.  While some artists may have a hard time capturing the sentiment behind someone else’s song and end up merely singing words on a page, Brenda Howard is writing and singing about things that are literally a part of who she is, and that translates into one powerfully descriptive song.

“Every song I write brings out an emotion inside of me that is hard to explain.  While writing “Turn and Walk Away” for instance, the emotion and tears that I would cry while just writing down the lyrics was taxing. As I sang the words over and over to get just the right chords, the heartbreak stayed fresh in my mind and made it terribly difficult to finish.  I could hardly write the song on a sheet of paper, let alone trying to sing it without being constantly choked up and holding back tears. This song was about the honor I felt for our men and women who serve our country and what their families must go through when they leave again on active duty.  My paper was actually wet and tear soaked as I could visually picture the bravery and heartbreak that our everyday Mom’s and Dad’s must feel when they would “Turn and Walk Away” from their precious families and children “as their hands start to slip away” while “risking their lives for safety and peace for the sake of their American home.”  Knowing that they were defending our freedoms, yet never knowing if they would see the faces of their wives, husbands and even newborn babies every again was just heart wrenching to me.  We rarely ever hear a song that touches on “that” side of our military or the “family” side, so, it was my hope to relay that message in the most heartfelt yet powerful way possible.  To reach down deep and show that even though they are our hero’s and fierce warriors, these men and women are some of the most compassionate souls God has ever placed on this earth.

When I started writing “Where Are You Now?” the song in honor of my Dad, I was experiencing such bittersweet emotions. While my Dad was my best friend in the entire world and I still miss him so badly even today after 18 yrs., I had comfort in knowing that he was in Heaven now. I remember the day and moment that he passed in the hospital at 7:00 pm.  I looked up toward Heaven in his hospital room, while holding his hand, and told him I loved him, just in case he could “See My Face as I Said Goodbye.”    I cried so hard writing that song, that I had to stop periodically just to wipe my eyes so I could see the paper that had gotten so blurry from tears.  I was so emotionally drained after finishing the lyrics and chord charts.  To this day, and even while recording these two songs in particular, my voice would quiver off and on trying to lay the final tracks. So, when someone approaches me and tells me they could actually “feel and hear” the powerful emotions in my voice when they listen to my recordings”, that is the most wonderful compliment in the world.  When spouses or military families write to tell me that “Turn and Walk Away” brought tears to their eyes and that my song lyrics were so “Spot On” they couldn’t believe the understanding I had to what they were actually going through” It just makes my heart smile, plain and simple. Being able to touch someone else’s’ heart in a positive and compassionate way is the sole reason that I write music. To see that my songs are receiving a global positive response is a feeling beyond amazing.  God has used other people’s songs in the past to speak directly to me and help heal my heart when my Dad passed away and at other difficult times in my life. Judging from the beautiful comments that I have gotten from my fans and listeners, God seems to be using my songs to do the same.  I take absolutely no credit for that, but I will humbly accept it as an awesome Blessing.”
